Please send bread or flour…

On A Personal Note:

I am at the point in my recovery where I am still sick enough that focussing is difficult, I get tired just from taking a shower, and really want to resume some of my idea of normalcy again. But for whatever reasons my brain is muddled, and mush. It happens every time I get sick. I understand this. But will it keep me from whining about the fact that I am unhappy? Hell no!

Please continue to send me good thoughts.

But some good news (for me) is that our weather is going to turn up the dial for the next few days. This artist sure could some sunshine and less dreary ones. I don’t know why or how much longer this crud I’ve been dealt will last. I am tired of sounding like an adolescent boy or croaking frog for weeks. Some sunshine sounds like a lovely reprieve for myself and Bernie who has been ever at my side since we brought her home. I really am so thankful for her soft, sweet presence and that the universe brought us together after being on the cusp of adopting another cairn terrier. She fits perfectly into our lives and hearts. ♥️🐾

Art News:

As an artist, I am thinking about how the pandemic we face as a nation (and a world) will impact my own work, my sales and any future opportunities. Do I turn my creativity and efforts toward making “bread and butter” type of work/craft? Is it time for a new coloring book? Do I continue to paint and refining my portfolio?

Because let’s face it, we all know the changes, the uncertainty, and spending for things like art have changed for now. And, it will continue to influence how we spend, socialize and live for the foreseeable future. But what does not change, is that I (like the rest) need support and income.

(and where you will find me soon!)

I have seen a meme circulating that reminds or invites us to remember when this is all over to buy local, eat local, travel within the US, etc to help with recovery. I hope that we each embrace their friends, neighbors and community by supporting each other and follow through with our assistance as we all rebuild.

Until next time.
