Dali Friday

If you’ve paid any attention to me at all you know I am a big fan of Salvador Dali’s work. A few years back we visited his museum in St. Petersburg and it was amazing. I was so fascinated with everything, from the architectural design of the building and grounds to the wristband willow tree and his unique artwork.

It is tradition to leave your entry wristband on the tree

“…If you are a disciple of one of those calorie-counters who turn the joys of eating into a form of punishment, close this book at once; it is too lively, too aggressive, and far too impertinent for you.” Dali Surrealist Cookbook-Les Diners Gala

I hope I can get one of these cookbooks! I’d read about the original a few years ago.

This brings me to the end of my Salvador Dali Friday tribute and reminiscences, rumination, and fandom.

I’ll leave you with another update on my ‘Madame Coy/Koi’ piece, as you can see, I am still laying in the foundations of the work.

Peace,

Valerie
