Giclée or Not to Giclée…

News:
If you have ever been interested in my artwork, but for various reasons were unable to commit to a purchase then I have some news I hope will rekindle your  attention.

After meeting with a contractor, I now have access to reasonably priced giclée prints. In return, I am now able to offer you a variety in sizes and more affordable pricing of my work as a purchasing options.

First, let me define the term, Giclée, this term was coined to denote the process of fine art print reproduction as opposed to the word inkjet, which the creator, Jack Duganne, felt gave off negative connotations to the process he developed.

BUT, Please do not mistake giclée prints for average color and quality of normal printmaking. The process is much more detailed in color range and quality.

Giclée Print:
Title: Butterfly Bushes
Size: 18 x 24 inch
gallery wrapped canvas on stretcher bars
$165

Ready in one week from confirmed purchase date*
(allow extra time for holidays)

The Original Art Work:
Title: Butterfly Bushes
Size: 24 x 30 inches
$650
acrylic on pre-stretched canvas

WHAT THIS means is that I can offer you fine art print copies of work that you would be proud to have hanging in your home or business. If you need more, here are some reasons you might consider purchasing a Giclée Print:

  • Affordability
  • Sizing variations (making smaller paintings larger and vice versa)
  • Highly pigmented inkjet quality
  • Varnished for protection
  • Can be framed with or without glass or,
  • Gallery wrapped around stretcher bars

***Also note that, even if I no longer own the original art work, as long as I have the image, I can provide prints.
